Volunteers

It's good to be blessed. It's even better to be a blessing.
-Kathy Carter

Volunteering means sharing your life with someone who needs that special touch from you. It is investing time and effort for a better future for both you and others. It means helping others to grow. It is also an opportunity to meet and interact with like-minded people. It challenges you to stretch beyond your comfort zone. Most importantly, it helps YOU to grow.

TOUCH Silent Club (TSC) is a service of TOUCH Community Services, a not-for-profit charitable organisation. TSC provides services to a special group of people in the society - the Deaf community.

We have the following volunteering opportunities available:

þ  Volunteers for Tuition Programme
We are looking for people who are keen to help Deaf students achieve better results in their studies and develop healthy social lives. If you are available Saturdays (2pm-5pm) and are keen to impact Deaf lives, contact Silent Club at silent.club@touch.org.sg or call Ms. Gillian Goh at 6317 9953.

þ   Job Placement

The volunteer needs to contact companies for opportunities of employment for the Deaf. He can do this from a place of his choice and need not come to our premises.

þ   Ad-hoc Projects
The projects, which vary throughout the year, may range from recreational (eg a picnic) to skills development (eg a session on interview skills).

þ   IT-related
We need people who are IT-savvy to assist in our Cyber Centre for the Deaf, as well as to conduct computer-related courses.

If you are interested in volunteering with us, please email silent.club@touch.org.sg or call Ms. Gillian Goh at 6317 9953. Please feel free to contact us if you have any queries. Thank you.
